Experimental Texts
This issue collects works that make use of text in some way, though by no means abandoning the visual entirely for the verbal. A quick flip through the pages gives evidence of the distinctly visual nature of these “texts”. From Crag Hill’s “A Portrait in the Blue” to Miekal And’s xero-manipulated word collages, to a “narrative” suggested by a string of dictionary definitions by Warren Ong, to the running pseudo-rebus along the pages’ bottoms, this issue explores many threads inspired by the theme.
